A Deep Rift Opens In Israel As The Coming Storm Approaches

It is big news that Meir Dagan, the former Director of the Mossad, has warned the people of Israel and the world that Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak are not to be trusted and that they will probably attack Iran in September. One of the chief aims of such an attack is to forestall Palestinian efforts at the UN in September to achieve state independence, and radically change the global conversation away from Palestine towards the reality of a world war.

Dagan also publicly questioned the sanity of both Netanyahu and Barak, fearing that Israel's future is at stake. "I decided to speak," said Dagan, "because when I was in office, Diskin, Ashkenazi and I could block any dangerous adventure. Now I am afraid that there is no one to stop Bibi [Netanyahu] and Barak." Dagan is a man with brains and guts, unlike Netanyahu and Barak. The later two could be responsible for the biggest and most catastrophic war in human history.

I have not heard much of Dagan's brave warning in mainstream news in North America. And I have not read enough of the Israeli press to get an intelligent impression about what the Israeli people think of his criticism of Israel's current government.

I read one article that I liked by David Horovitz called "Why Meir Dagan speaks out." Horovitz praised Dagan, writing:
NOT ONLY is Dagan smart, however. He is also, by all accounts, a man who carries an unusually heavy sense of responsibility for the well-being of the Jewish people. This is no self-interested, narrow-minded or politically motivated figure. This is a man whose lifelong orientation is to protect his nation from any repeat of the murderous malice that engulfed us 70 years ago and that struck directly at his own family too.

This is the intelligence chief, remember, who, as our military correspondent Yaakov Katz reported in March of last year, kept a photograph on his office wall of an elderly bearded Jew, forced to kneel at the feet of a pair of Nazi soldiers. “Look at this picture,” Dagan would urge his visitors. “This man, kneeling down before the Nazis, was my grandfather just before he was murdered. I look at this picture every day and promise that the Holocaust will never happen again.”
If every country had a Dagan they would be in good stead. The greatest enemies of peace are not long-serving soldiers and grizzly generals like Dagan, but egoistic politicians like Netanyahu and sociopathic intellectuals like the neocons who dream of fire and blood in their sleep.

Dagan has a reputation of not speaking to the press. That is a good thing. We should always be worried about the other types, the political preachers and smooth talkers, who come in the form of Hitler, Churchill, Stalin, Bush, Obama, Netanyahu. Their words are dangerous and always leads to catastrophe. All they know is how to make a speech, and all they do is talk, talk, talk, until finally they've told enough lies to get people to accept their dangerous plans and crazy worldview.

I hate all prophets of doom because they create the situation that leads to their "prophecy," whatever it may be. I knew Netanyahu was a crazy doomsayer and wanted war when he compared Iran to Nazi Germany, and this period in history to 1938.

Obama showed himself to be a man of war and an agent of destruction when he gave a speech on the Afghanistan war in December of 2009 in which he repeated the big lie that Al-Qaeda was responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Repeating the lie that jump-started one of the most horrific wars in human history is beyond criminal and treasonous, it is insane and psychopathic.

We need to slay (with words) doomsayers like Obama, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bush, Blair, Barak, and Netanyahu, along with the poisonous neocon snakes who warn of danger from foreign lands as if they have their people's best interests at heart. These men are not protectors and guardians, they are destroyers and criminal liars. Their well-chosen words confuse rational warriors, create atrocities and justify mass murder.

On June 5, I wrote an article called "Will Israeli Leaders Choose A New World War Over A New Palestinian State?" saying that, "If people continue to look on indifferently like sheep then mass destruction, chaos and world war will define this decade." The time for words is finished. We must act. We must protest the Israeli and U.S. embassies in every capital in the world and tell U.S. and Israeli leaders that if they start a world war in the Middle East then the blood of millions will be on their hands.

We know Bin Laden and al-Qaeda didn't do 9/11. We know Saddam didn't have weapons of mass destruction. And we know Iran is not a threat to Israel's security, or global security. These lies have been exposed and put to rest. The psychopathic liars who told them will meet the same fate.
