The Tide of Popular Opinion Sweeps Across The Muslim World

The storming of American embassies in Libya and Egypt on September 11, 2012, started a trend in the Middle East. Now, the youth of Yemen are demonstrating their anger against the United States government.

On September 13, Yemenis stormed the American embassy in retaliation for illegal U.S. drone strikes in the country. The anti-Islam film, which remains shrouded in mystery, served as a trigger for their built-up rage against American tyranny in Yemen.

The Associated Press reports:
"Hundreds of protesters chanting "Death to America" stormed the U.S. Embassy compound in Sanna, Yemen on Thursday. The protesters burned the U.S. flag. (Sept. 13)."
Either the American empire is going to become more mean and brutal in reaction to these popular uprisings in the Muslim world, or it is going to surrender to the force of popular opinion and respect the will of Muslims. The latter course would be the rational one because you can't win a war against 2 billion people.

Unless America is willing to use nuclear weapons on Muslim countries and intimidate them into submission, it is irrational to escalate tensions in the Middle East and create a counter-productive "clash of civilizations."

But the American empire is not rational, nor is its chief ally, Israel. So it is probably going to increase the use of drone strikes throughout the Muslim world, which will lead to more civilian deaths, and continue the cycle of war and hate.

If Israel preemptively attacks Iran and America joins in the illegal aggression, the Muslim world will unite against Israel and the United States. The U.S. will be forced into an unwinnable war.

The people of Pakistan, Yemen, Libya, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Afghanistan, and Iran will unite against foreign aggression, and there is not enough firepower in the world to suppress hundreds of millions of people.
